✨ Welcome, we are SO excited to have you on-board! Follow these simple steps on how to navigate the platform! ✨

💡 Steps on How to Use The Lightup Hub:

1️⃣ Start with the Essay Skills Course

🖋️ Hop onto the Essay Skills course first. This teaches you exactly how to write a top-grade paragraph in the easiest way possible!

2️⃣ Watch the Videos & Grab the Sentence Starters

📹 Go through all the videos and take your time! Make a note of the sentence starters. Once done, hit “Start Test” to take the quiz and see if you’ve nailed the structure.

3️⃣ Choose the Literature Text You’re Least Confident With

📙 Pick the text you’re weakest in: this is where you'll make the most progress. Go into that course.

4️⃣ Use the Holy Grail Tick-list

✅ At the top of each course is the Holy Grail Tick-list. Scroll through and start with what you don’t know. For example:

5️⃣ Start With Context

✔️ Watch the context video
✔️ Jot down condensed notes
✔️ Make flashcards
✔️ Tick “complete” at the bottom
✔️ Then tick it off in the Holy Grail Tick-list

6️⃣ Go Through Key Characters & Themes

Focus on the characters (we've selected the best quotes & analysis for you):
✔️ Watch the character video
✔️ Write flashcards with questions like “What’s a key quote for ambition for Macbeth?”
✔️ Use colours to help remember them

✔️ Summarise your notes & mark it complete

7️⃣ Test Yourself!

🚀 Test your knowledge using quizzes and your own flashcards. Get immediate feedback on what’s right or wrong.

8️⃣ Go Over Essay Plans & Grade 9 Examples

🔖 Read through model essays and past paper questions. See how top students apply their knowledge in real answers.

9️⃣ Repeat for Other Characters/Themes

👻 Once you’re confident with one character or theme, move on to the next one. Keep ticking off the list and building your notes + flashcards.

🔟 Do the Same for Language Too!

Go to the Language course:
✔️ Condense your notes
✔️ Watch the videos on structure/sentence starters
✔️ Test yourself on quizzes
✔️ Try essay plans or practice questions

🧠 REMEMBER: We give you all the knowledge. All you need to do is apply it through quizzes, flashcards, and essay planning.
