Overview

In Limble, QR codes can be used for a variety of purposes: from looking up information about assets, to managing your parts inventory, to starting tasks with ease, QR codes are one of the most loved features of our software.

This article will cover how to access each type of QR code, how to download multiple QR codes at one time.

(Note: to learn about printing customization options and print templates, check out our article "How to Print Labels with QR Codes in Limble.")

Access Your QR Codes

Work Request Portals

From the Setup and Configure Work Requests page, click on the QR code icon next to your desired location.

The QR code will open in the new window.

Assets

From the Manage Assets page, click on your desired asset.

In the asset card, click on the QR code icon.

The QR codes will open in the new window.

There are two types of asset QR codes:

  • Submit a Work Request will lead the user to the work request portal and link the asset to the work request automatically. This is beneficial if you have a similar or a large number of assets within one location and are looking for specificity to help your team quickly identify the correct asset in place of the work request portal QR code.

  • Asset Information allows the user to pull up the asset viewer quickly on mobile without having to find it manually.

Parts

From the Manage Parts page, click on your desired part.

In the part card, click on the QR code icon.

The QR code will open in the new window.

PMs

From the Manage PMs page under the Options column, click on the QR code icon next to your desired PM.

The QR code will open in the new window.

For PMs, you have two QR code options:

  • Start Task will check to see if the PM is already open and in progress. Scanning the QR code will automatically open the current PM. If the task is not open, scanning the QR code will open a new PM, and the user can begin work on it right away.

  • Enable or Disable PM Schedule will automatically take action on a PM. If the schedule is enabled, scanning the QR code will turn off the schedule, and the PMs will no longer generate. If the schedule is disabled, scanning the QR code will turn on the schedule, and the PMs will begin to generate again.

WO Templates

From the Manage Work page, click “Start WO.”

Select “Don’t assign to an Asset” and then click “Select.”’

From the Setup Work Order screen, click on “WO Templates.”

Select the QR code icon next to your desired WO template.

The QR code will open in the new window.

How to Download Multiple QR Codes

You can print more than one of the same type of QR code at one time.

Assets & Parts

For assets or parts, select the “Show more than one…” button.

In this example, I’ll select “Show more than one Asset’s QR Codes.”

In the new window, select the additional QR codes you’d like to print and click “Select.”

Your full selected QR code list will now be displayed.

PMs & WO Templates

For PMs and WO templates, click the “Bulk Actions” button. From the dropdown, select “Show more than one Template’s QR codes.”

In the new window, select the additional QR codes you’d like to print and click “Select.”

Your full selected QR code list will now be displayed.
