Overview

Limble users can request a part, service, or other type of purchase to complete a task by submitting a purchase request, which can be converted directly into a purchase order when it’s approved.

This article will teach you how to create a purchase request for a part, service, and other purchases from within a task.

Table of Contents

Create a Purchase Request for a Part

If you need to request a part that isn’t in your parts inventory, you can submit a purchase request directly from the task you’re working on.

Click on the green action button. From the new list of options, select the shopping cart icon.

You will be given the option to request a Part, a Service, or Other type of purchase. Select “Yes” under the Parts header.

In the new pop-up window, click on the part you need. Then click "Select."

Provide the reason for requesting the part under "What is the reason for this Request?" Then, hit “Submit.”

The part you requested, as well as the purchase request, will be added to the task you are working on.

Create a Purchase Request for a Service or Other Purchase

To request a service or other purchase, click on the green action button. From the new list of options, select the cart icon.

Select “Yes” under the Service header. Then, pick a vendor, and add a description of the service you need, the quantity (typically “1” for a service), the price, and the reason for the request.

For other purchases (for example, you may need to replace an asset), use the "Others" section.

Select “Yes” under the Other header. Then pick a vendor, add a description of the purchase you need to make, the quantity, the price, and the reason for the request.
