A good description and cover image help visitors understand what they'll find and create a professional first impression. The description and cover image are used to create rich previews when you share your portal link outside of Lingo.

Updating a Portal

  1. Open your Dashboard

  2. Right click the Portal (or click the β€’β€’β€’ button)

  3. Click Edit Portal

In this modal you can update:

  • You have avatars for different teams

  • Have portals for different brands or products

  • Manage portals for different clicents

description

The description is only shown within Lingo to your team members that have access to the the dashboard and in link previews when sharing the portal link externally.

Tips for good descriptions:

  • Keep it brief (1-3 sentences)

  • Explain what content is available

  • Mention who it's for if not obvious

  • Avoid long instructions, those are best suited for a note inside the Portal

Example: "Brand assets and guidelines for our agency partners. Find logos, templates, and usage guidelines for all campaigns."

Cover Image

The cover image is displayed in the dashboard and in link previews when sharing the portal link externally. If you don't set a cover image or remove it, an image will be generated from the hero settings for the Portal.

Cover image tips:

  • Use a high-quality image (at least 1920px wide)

  • Choose an image that represents the Portal's content

  • Ensure text remains readable over the image

  • Consider using branded graphics
