Once you've connected Figma, you can import design elements directly into your Lingo Library or Kits.

Ways to import from Figma

Paste a Figma link

  1. Copy the link to a Figma frame, component, or selection

  2. Paste it into Lingo (in a Kit or the Library)

  3. Lingo imports the selected elements

Use the import dialog

  1. Click Add in your Kit or Library

  2. Select Import from Figma

  3. Browse your Figma files and select what to import

  4. Click Import

What you can import

  • Components - Reusable design elements

  • Frames - Artboards and containers

  • Groups - Grouped elements

  • Icons - Individual icon designs

What gets imported

When you import from Figma, Lingo creates Assets based on the elements you select:

Lingo captures the asset as an SVG file directly from Figma but does not store the editable Figma data. These assets will appear as SVG assets which give you the greatest flexibility for converting and resizing them later.

Lingo also stores a link back to the source in Figma. You can find that under the details section in the inspector.
