Because Lingo separates asset storage in the Library from asset presentation and distribution in Kits, you can always keep assets that are no longer in use in your Library without exposing them in your Kits.

Only Admins and Content Managers can access the Library.

Removing assets from kit

When you select assets in a kit and open the action menu, you will see two options:

  • Remove from kit: This will remove the content block from the kit but keep the Asset in the Library.

  • Delete from Lingo: This will delete content block from the kit AND permanently delete the asset from Library. Keep in mind that this may also delete content blocks from other kits if the asset is used in multiple kits.

Only Admins and Content Managers will see the "Delete from Lingo" option. Other editors will only see "Remove from kit."

Deleting assets from the Library

When you delete an asset from the Library, it is permanently removed from Lingo and cannot be restored. If you want to remove an asset from active use but keep it stored in your Library, consider removing it from all kits but leaving it in the Library.
