SSO setup requires assistance from Lingo Support. You'll also need admin access to your Okta organization.

This guide walks you through setting up Lingo SSO with Okta. Lingo SSO works with any identity provider that supports SAML 2.0โ€”if you use a different provider, see our main article on setting up SSO.

Step 1: Reach out to Lingo Support

Reach out to Lingo Support (using the Intercom messenger or by emailing us at support@lingoapp.com) to let us know you'd like to set up SSO. We'll get back to you with some information you'll need for the next steps.

Step 2: Create a new application integration

In Okta, create a new application integration with the following settings:

  • Platform: Select Web from the dropdown

  • Sign on method: Select SAML 2.0

Step 3: Configure general settings

On the General Settings screen:

Step 4: Configure SAML settings

Enter the following SAML settings:

  • Single sign on URL: This URL will be provided to you by your Lingo support specialist

  • Audience URI (SP Entity ID): https://lingoapp.com

  • Name ID format: You can leave this as the default "Unspecified"

  • Application username: You can leave this as the default "Okta username"

  • Attribute statements: See the table below for the required attribute statements.

Important: Attribute statements are case-sensitive. Missing or incorrectly named attributes will cause the integration to fail.

Step 5: Finalize setup

Once you've completed the Okta configuration, send the Identity Provider metadata URL to your Lingo support contact. You'll find this link on the Sign On tab of your application.

After Lingo Support finishes the configuration on our end, your SSO integration will be ready to use.
