If you need to cancel your Lingo subscription, here's how it works and what to expect.

How to cancel

  1. Go to your Space settings

  2. Select Billing

  3. Click Cancel Subscription

  4. Confirm your cancellation

Only the Space Owner can cancel the subscription.

What happens when you cancel

Immediate - Your cancellation is confirmed, but you keep full access until the end of your billing cycle.

End of billing cycle - Your Space becomes read-only. You can still view and download content, but you cannot upload, edit, or share new content.

Shared links - Public Kit and Portal links stop working. Direct links stop serving content.

Data retention

After cancellation, Lingo retains your data for a limited period. If you reactivate within this window, your content will still be available.

We'll notify you before permanently deleting any data, giving you time to export what you need.

Before you cancel

Export your content - Download any assets you want to keep.

Update direct links - If you're using direct links in websites or emails, update those references.

Notify your team - Let collaborators know that shared access will end.

Consider downgrading - A lower-tier plan might meet your needs at a reduced cost.

Reactivating

Changed your mind? You can reactivate your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Your Space will be restored with all your content intact (within the retention period).
