How to Prioritize a link

Boost engagement by highlighting key content with the Prioritize Links feature.

Updated this week

When you need to guide your audience's attention, Prioritize links offer a dynamic way to make your most important content stand out. Whether you're looking to increase clicks on a specific link, drive more sales, boost video views, or encourage website visits, Prioritize Links give you the tools to make it happen. You can choose between:

  • Redirect

  • Animate

  • Auto-expand

Each option helps you guide visitors in a different way.

💡 Tip: For creators and affiliate marketers, Prioritize links can help maximize traffic and deliver greater value to your brand partnerships. For critical moments, consider using a Redirect link to send visitors directly to a specific URL, bypassing your Linktree altogether.

Redirect visitors to a specific link

Redirect temporarily sends all visitors directly to a selected link instead of your full Linktree. This is helpful for launches, limited-time offers, ticket sales, or announcements.

When Redirect is active, anyone who visits your Linktree URL will automatically be taken to the selected link.

Set up a redirect

  1. Start by creating the link you want to prioritize in the Links page.

  2. Click the star icon () to open the prioritize settings.

  3. Select Redirect.

  4. Set the duration for how long you want the redirect to run.

What happens when the redirect ends?

If you previously had Animate or Auto-expand enabled on a link before turning on Redirect, your Linktree will automatically return to that previous selection once the redirect period ends.

💡 Tip: Redirect works best for time-sensitive campaigns like product drops or event registrations.

Prioritize with Animation

  1. Start by creating the link you want to prioritize in the Links page.

  2. Click the star icon () to open the prioritize settings.

  3. Select an animation style to suit your brand and personality.

  4. Open your Linktree profile and see the Prioritize Link in action.

📝 Note: You can Prioritize only one link at a time.

Prioritize with Auto Expand

Take it a step further by adding a Auto-expand to your prioritized link. This prioritization expands the link automatically when visitors land on your Linktree, drawing attention to your key content. Auto-expand can expand interactive links such as video, music or contact forms.

Click the star icon () to open the prioritize settings and select the Auto-expand option to activate this.

And that's all there is to it! With Prioritized Links, you’re equipped to guide your audience effectively and maximize the impact of your most crucial content.
