How to set up a Redirect
Updated this week

A Redirect link bypasses your Linktree and sends visitors directly to a chosen link for a set period. With Redirect, you never need to swap out your bio link again. Plus, it’s included in your Linktree analytics and Facebook audience integrations.

Steps to Set Up a Redirect Link:

  1. In your Linktree Admin, create the link you wish to redirect.

  2. Select the redirect arrow icon at the bottom of your link to open the redirect schedule option.

  3. Press Redirect to this link.

  4. Select the time and date you want your redirect to turn off.

Your audience will now be redirected to the specified link.

💡 Tip: To turn off the redirect before the link expires, tap the Disable Redirect button.

FAQs

When should I use a Redirect?

Redirects are perfect for timely events and occasions when you want all eyes in one place, such as:

  • An album or single launch

  • A new podcast episode

  • Tickets to your show go on sale

  • Launching a new website

  • A sale on your products

  • Your latest video

  • Breaking news

What happens when my Redirect link expires?

After the redirect link expires, your Linktree will automatically be restored, allowing visitors to view all your Linktree content again.

What are the benefits of using a Redirect?

  • Measure all your visitors and clicks through your Linktree dashboard.

  • You can use your Facebook Pixel integration to build audiences on Facebook and Instagram. All your visitors that click on your Linktree when it is a Redirect will still be recorded in all your Linktree integrations.

  • Use Link scheduling to set specific "go-live" times for your Redirect, so your launch is ready precisely when you want it to be.
