Understanding your Analytics

This guide will walk you through the Analytics features and data available, helping you make the most of your Linktree profile.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Analytics page in your Linktree admin provides insights into the performance of your Linktree. The more you share, promote, and create campaigns with your Linktree, the more views and clicks you'll receive on your links.

Key Definitions

Before diving into the analytics, letโ€™s go over some key terms you'll encounter:

  • Views: The number of times your Linktree profile has been accessed by visitors.

  • Unique Views: The number of distinct visitors who have viewed your Linktree, excluding repeat visits from the same person.

  • Clicks: The count of times visitors have clicked on any of your links.

  • Unique Clicks: The number of distinct visitors who have clicked on your links, counting each person only once regardless of how many times they click.

  • Click Rate: The percentage of views that resulted in clicks. This is determined by dividing the total number of clicks by the total number of views your profile has received. For example, if your profile has 1,000 clicks and 2,000 views, your click rate would be 50%. This is calculated by dividing 1,000 by 2,000 and then multiplying by 100.

  • Subscribers: Visitors who have signed up to receive updates or notifications through your Linktree using the Subscribe feature.

  • Sources: Channels or platforms (e.g., direct, social media, search engines) that visitors used to find your Linktree.

Analytics walkthrough

The Analytics page is divided into several sections, each offering valuable insights about how your audience interacts with your Linktree profile:

Lifetime Metrics

At the top of your Analytics page, you'll find the Lifetime performance of your key metrics, including Views, Clicks, Click Rate, and Subscribers.

These metrics provide a comprehensive snapshot of your profile's overall performance throughout the life of your Linktree.

Custom Date Range

Our date range selector allows you to customize the time period you wish to analyze your Linktree performance, depending on your plan:

  • Free Plan: Access analytics for the last 28 days.

  • Starter Plan: Access analytics for the last 90 days.

  • Pro Plan: Access analytics for the last 365 days.

  • Premium Plan: Access analytics for the entire lifetime of your Linktree.

This date range will be applied to every graph on the analytics page, outlined below.

Activity

The Activity section provides a detailed breakdown of your audience's engagement over time. Use the graph to identify trends in your views and clicks. For example, you might notice a spike in activity after posting new content. This helps you understand what resonates with your audience and when they are most active.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Click rate is a key metric to keep an eye on. If you see your Click rate dropping - it's time to change things in your Linktree. Check out our article on Analytics best practices for recommendations on how to do so.

The Audience section helps you understand where your visitors are coming from. It includes:

  • Sources: Discover how people are finding your Linktree, whether through direct visits, search engines, or social media platforms.

These insights enable you to refine your content strategy and target your audience more effectively.

Subscribers

Pro and Premium users can download a CSV file of their subscribers details, which will be sent to the email address associated with the Linktree account.
