With Linktree, it’s easy to integrate your Facebook Pixel into your profile so that you can use great tools on Facebook such as Analytics. More importantly, you can create audiences to market to your Linktree visitors on both Facebook and Instagram.

The following article will explain how to create audiences and use them on Facebook or Instagram.

Understanding 'Events'
Once your Pixel is installed correctly in your Linktree settings, every time a visitor lands on your profile an 'event' will fire with the Facebook Pixel.
There are two events that are configured to work on Linktree:
1. pageView
When a visitor loads your Linktree profile, the pageView event will trigger.
To simplify, this means the pageView event was fired on each view of your Linktree.
With this, you can go further and create audiences and target users who viewed your Linktree.
2. linkClick
When a visitor clicks on a link on your Linktree, a 'linkClick' event will fire.
This event will include a parameter for the title of the link and the URL of the link.
This means you'll be able to create an audience on Facebook for all the people that clicked on a particular link, as explained below.
Creating Audiences
1. Navigate to your Facebook Business Manager or Advert Manager.
2. Select the Ad Account associated with the Pixel you installed on your Linktree.
3. Click the menu in the top left and select Audiences.
4. Click Create Audience and select Custom Audience.
5. Select Website Traffic from the list of audience types.
6. A page will load, which will be set to All Website Visitors. This means every person who visits your Linktree profile will be included. To create an audience including every visitor, just select the number of days of visitors you'd like to include in the audience. The example below shows 30 days.
7. Name your audience descriptively.
8. Click Create Audience.
You're all done! When you create advertising campaigns on both Facebook and Instagram, you'll now be able to select this audience to target for your ads.
Creating Audiences - Link clickers
1. Navigate to your Facebook Business Manager or Advert Manager.
2. Select the Ad Account associated with the Pixel you installed on your Linktree.
3. Click the menu in the top left and select Audiences.
4. Click Create Audience and select Custom Audience.
5. Select Website Traffic from the list of audience types.
6. Click All Website Visitors and select linkClick from the menu.
7. Click Refine By and select URL/Parameter.
8. Click URL and select either: Destination - This is the URL that your link is linking to or Title - This is the title of the link.
💡 Tip: If you want to create an audience of visitors that clicked a particular link based on the title of the link, you can select Title.
9. In the field provided enter the Title of the link that you want to create an audience of clickers. In the example below, we are creating an audience of every visitor who clicked the Get Linktree now! button on our Linktree.
If you select Destination, you'd enter the URL of the link you want to create an audience from.
10. Click Create Audience.
You're all done! When you create advertising campaigns on both Facebook and Instagram, you’ll now see this audience that you can target with your ads.
