With Linktree, you can integrate your Meta Pixel to track visitor activity and build targeted audiences for Facebook and Instagram ads. This allows you to analyze visitor behavior and create campaigns that reach the right people.
📝 Note: This article will walk you through setting up audiences based on visitor activity on your Linktree. Before you begin, check out this guide for help in finding, understand and installing your Meta Pixel.
Understanding 'Events'
Once your Facebook Pixel is installed in your Linktree settings, it tracks two key events whenever someone visits your profile:
pageView
Fires when someone loads your Linktree profile.
Helps you track how many people visit your Linktree and create audiences based on profile views.
linkClick
Fires when someone clicks on a link in your Linktree.
Includes details like the link’s title and URL.
Lets you create audiences based on specific links clicked.
Now, let’s go over how to set up these audiences in Facebook Business Manager.
Creating an audience based on profile visitors
Open the Ads Manager in your Meta Business Manager.
Select the Ad Account connected to your Meta Pixel.
Open the menu in the left and select Audiences.
Click Create a Custom Audience.
Choose Website as the source, and click Next.
Keep the default setting (All Website Visitors) to include everyone who visits your Linktree.
Adjust the timeframe (e.g., last 30 days) if needed.
Name your audience clearly (e.g., “Linktree Visitors - Last 30 Days”).
Click Create Audience.
Your audience is now set up! You can use it in ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.
