In today's increasingly digitized world, the amount of data accessed, used, and shared across the internet continues to grow. With the risks of cybercrimes growing, Linktree is focused to protect our creators and their content.
What is MFA?
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a common verification method that requires more than one type of user validation. It prevents bad characters from accessing an account even if they've found a way to acquire your username and password.
The benefits of using MFA on your account are that it reduces the likelihood of the many types of cyber-attacks that are out there and can stop these bad characters from accessing your Linktree account.
How to turn on MFA
On the Accounts page:
Under the My Information section, you'll see the option to enable MFA.
Toggle on the Enable Multi-factor Authentication button.
A new pop-up will appear. Enter your country code and phone number to get your 6-digit verification code.
Select to either receive your code via SMS or Voice call and then hit Continue.
Your verification code will be sent to your mobile device. Enter the verification code in the available field and hit Continue.
That's it! You're all set. The next time that you log in to your account, you'll be sent a verification code that you'll need to enter to access your account.
Do I have to enter a verification code every time I log in?
When you log in to your account, you can select Remember this device for 30 days, if you prefer to enter your 6-digit code every 30 days.
I'm not receiving the verification code on my device. What do I do now?
