How to add a Document Link

The Document Link is a valuable link type that allows you to upload a PDF file and display the document directly on your Linktree. This is a great feature for creators that want their visitors to look through their restaurant menus, learn more about their upcoming events, read through their CVs / resumés, or any other documents that they want to share with their visitors.

💡Tip: To take things one step further, on our paid plans, you can add a payment lock to your Document Link to help you monetize your content.

Steps:


  1. In your Linktree Admin, hit the + Add link button.

  2. Select View all to see our Link Apps. Find the Document Link option under the Share your content section.

    💡 Tip: You can also click Add to Linktree from the Linktree Marketplace.

  3. Add a Title for your Document Link.

  4. Hit the + Add button to upload your PDF document.

    🔔 Note: Only a PDF file format with a 50MB file size limit can be added as a Document Link.

  5. Add a Description for your Document Link.

That's it. Your Document Link is live!

Your visitors will be able to read through your document directly on your Linktree. If they want to download the document, they'll hit the View button to view the PDF in a new tab and download the file.
