Understanding your Insights

This guide will walk you through the Insights features and the data analytics available, helping you make the most of your Linktree.

Updated this week

The Insights page in your Linktree admin provides insights into the performance of your Linktree. The more you share, promote, and create campaigns with your Linktree, the more views and clicks you'll receive on your links.

Key Definitions

Before diving into the analytics, let’s go over some key terms you'll encounter:

  • Total Views: The number of times your Linktree profile has been accessed by visitors.

  • Unique Views: The number of distinct visitors who have viewed your Linktree, excluding repeat visits from the same person.

  • Total Clicks: The count of times visitors have clicked on any of your links.

  • Unique Clicks: The number of distinct visitors who have clicked on your links, counting each person only once regardless of how many times they click.

  • Click Rate: The percentage of views that resulted in clicks. This is determined by dividing the total number of clicks by the total number of views your profile has received. For example, if your profile has 1,000 clicks and 2,000 views, your click rate would be 50%. This is calculated by dividing 1,000 by 2,000 and then multiplying by 100.

  • Subscribers: Visitors who have signed up to receive updates or notifications through your Linktree using the Subscribe feature.

  • Sources: Channels or platforms (e.g., direct, social media, search engines) that visitors used to find your Linktree.

Insights walkthrough

The Insights page is divided into several sections, each offering valuable insights about how your audience interacts with your Linktree profile:

Lifetime Totals

At the top of your Insights page, you'll find the Lifetime performance of your key metrics, including Views, Clicks, Click Rate, and Subscribers. Earnings are visible for users eligible for monetization.

These metrics provide a comprehensive snapshot of your profile's overall performance throughout the life of your Linktree.

Custom Date Range

Our date range selector allows you to customize the time period you wish to analyze your Linktree performance, depending on your plan:

  • Free Plan: Access analytics for the last 28 days.

  • Starter Plan: Access analytics for the last 90 days.

  • Pro Plan: Access analytics for the last 365 days.

  • Premium Plan: Access analytics for the entire lifetime of your Linktree.

This date range will be applied to every graph on the analytics page, outlined below.

Activity

The Activity section provides a detailed breakdown of your audience's engagement over time. Use the graph to identify trends in your views and clicks. For example, you might notice a spike in activity after posting new content. This helps you understand what resonates with your audience and when they are most active.

Click rate is a key metric to keep an eye on. If you see your Click rate dropping - it's time to change things in your Linktree. The benchmark will give you an indication of how your Linktree compares to similar profiles. Check out our article on Analytics best practices for recommendations on how to do so.

  • Interests (Available on Pro and Premium plans)
Discover what your audience cares about most, based on the links they’ve tapped across your Linktree—and others. We categorize every link, then surface the top categories your visitors are most engaged with, so you can tailor your content to match.

    • Only available if you’ve had more than 100 unique visitors in the last 90 days.

    • The data in this report is an indicator of categorical audience interest, but it alone does not guarantee the viability of any business opportunity. Many external factors contribute to the feasibility of any new endeavor.

These insights enable you to refine your content strategy and target your audience more effectively.

Monetization

📝 Note: Earn features are currently available in selected countries. We're working hard to bring them to more Linkers soon.

Track how your Linktree helps you earn directly within the Insights tab. This section gives you a clear visual breakdown of your earnings and conversions over time. In the Monetized links section you can review clicks, conversions, and earnings for each individual link—making it easier to spot which links are driving results.

📝 Note: This section only includes links that let you earn money, like Earn Links, paid Courses, and digital products.

Leveraging your Earn Insights

Monetization insights help you make smarter decisions about what to share and how. They can:

  • Show which links and products drive the most clicks and conversions—so you

can double down on what works.

  • Reveal what types of brands, price points, and content resonate with your audience—so you can tailor your recommendations.

Give insight into who’s engaging with your content—so you can fine-tune how you present and promote your offerings.

Audience

Track your subscriber growth in the Audience section. You can view your daily, weekly or monthly new subscriber counts and the percentage of growth. To compare how each of your growth tools is performing, check the lifetime conversions for each tool.

Pro and Premium users can download a CSV file of their subscribers details, which will be sent to the email address associated with the Linktree account.

📝 Note: Subscribers who share their email addresses or phone number with you will be included in the CSV file. If you upgrade to a Pro or Premium plan from Free, we’ll provide you with the emails of subscribers from the last three months.
