After uploading a file to a Contact and Account, the file will automatically be stored in the Files page of the Contact, the Account, and the firm.

To upload a file via Add File:

  1. Click +Add New in the upper-left corner.

  2. Click File.

  3. In the To field, select the recipient and Account you'd like to share the file with.

  4. Click back into the To field to continue adding recipients and Accounts.

  5. Fill out necessary tags.

  6. Attach your file.

  7. Uncheck the Firm Only box to make the files viewable to non-firm recipients.

  8. Add a message (this will show up in the recipient's inbox) or select Do Not Send Message to upload the file quietly into their Account.

  9. Click Upload.

To upload a file via message:

  1. Click the +Message button.

  2. In the To field, select the recipient and Account you'd like to share the file with.

  3. Click back into the To field to continue adding recipients and Accounts.

  4. Add a subject and description.

  5. Attach your file.

  6. Fill out necessary tags.

  7. Click Upload.

  8. Click Send.

Note: If the recipient is an Account Owner, it is not strictly necessary to tie them to the file because they can view all files that have been uploaded to their Account. If a Contact is not an Account Owner, it is necessary to select them as the recipient in order to give them access to the file.
