Internal files, or as we call "Firm Only" files, are marked with a lock icon. Once the file is shared, the file will no longer be Firm Only (internal).

To Share a Firm Only internal file:

  1. Click on the Files page to locate the internal file you'd like to share.

  2. Click the file to open.

  3. Click Share on the right-hand side.

  4. Click into the To field to select the Recipient and Account.

  5. Send a message to notify the recipients, or select Do not Send Message. Selecting Do not Send Message will not notify your client of this change and just quietly gives them access.

  6. Click Send to share the file.
