To Create a Task:
Click +Add New in the upper-left side of your screen.
Click Task.
Select Task Type.
Select the Account.
Select the Contact.
Select a Due Date (or make it recurring).
Select an Owner.
Enter a Subject Line.
Enter a Description.
Attach any files if necessary.
Click Create Task.

The Task's recipient will immediately get a notification that it has been created, and will get auto-reminders until it is complete. The Task Owner will be notified when the Contact completes the Task.
