Important Notes Before Printing

  1. Page Limit for Pre-Organizer Content: The pages preceding the first page of the organizer (e.g., client demographic/personal information page) should not exceed 25 pages. This includes the cover letter, inserts (such as questionnaires), and engagement letters.

  2. Organizer Options: Only Complete Organizers are supported. Other organizer types will not process when imported.

  3. Headers: Ensure the page number is included on the organizer for successful processing.

  4. Codes: Organizers should not be printed with codes. Be sure to uncheck Print with Codes in your Print Options.

  5. PDF Print Driver Restriction: Organizers printed using a PDF print driver will not process correctly. This is because printing through a PDF print driver removes the ability to extract text from the document.

  6. Auto-Matching Organizers to Clients:

    1. Taxpayer Email Address: The email address listed in the organizer must match the Primary Email Address associated with the client in Liscio.

    2. Client ID: Using the format '2023 Individual SMITH001 (SMITH, JOHN J.) Organizer.pdf,' where 'SMITH001' represents the client ID, the account will be automatically assigned if the client ID matches the External ID in the Liscio account.

Printing Tax Organizers from Lacerte


  1. Go to Clients to view the list of your clients.

  2. Ensure All Clients is selected.

  3. Click the Tools tab at the top, select Organizer.

  4. Select Print Paper Organizer from the left navigation panel.

    • If you get the Intuit Link Welcome screen, click Don't Show this again or Tell me later to continue printing organizers.

  5. Select Complete Organizer.

    • Only Complete Organizers are supported.

  6. Highlight the clients under the Available Clients section.

    • To highlight multiple clients, hold down the Ctrl key and select the applicable clients.

  7. Select Add to move the highlighted clients from the Available Clients section to the Selected Clients section.

  8. When setting up Organizer Options for the first time, or after clicking Organizer Settings... the following options are available.

    1. Organizer Pages determines the pages you want to include with the organizer.

      1. Suppress omits the page from the Organizer even if the client's prior year tax return requires information from this page.

      2. Force prints the page even if the client's prior year tax return didn't require information from this page.

      3. When Applicable prints the page only if the client's prior year tax return requires information from this page.

    2. Document Options sets the default additional documents to be included with the organizer.

  9. Choose the desired Document Options and Organizer Print Options, then click OK.

  10. Click Print.

  11. Under Organizer Print Options, 'Print page number' must be selected to be compatible with Lisio import.

  12. Click OK.

  13. In the Print To settings at the top > uncheck Printer > check File (PDF).

  14. Click OK.

  15. Select a location.

  16. Click Save.
