Adding a Listrak Domain Alias Branding Recording

  1. Log in to your CloudFlare account.

  2. Select the domain you would like to update from the drop-down menu at the top left.

  3. Select the DNS Settings tab.

  4. Add the CNAME record. It must point to a fully qualified domain name.

    1. Select “CNAME” in the drop-down.

    2. First Text Box: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend “link.”

    3. Second Text Box: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be customers.esp1.co

    4. Time to Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record on the right.

⚠️ DNS Records noted with an orange cloud icon are proxy DNS Records. Listrak is not able to view proxy records, which will cause errors in setting up your branding. Change your DNS records so that the grey cloud icon appears, which indicates records are viewable by Listrak.

Adding Listrak Google Postmaster Tools Record

  1. Log in to your CloudFlare account.

  2. Select the domain you would like to update from the drop-down menu at the top left.

  3. Select the DNS Settings tab.

  4. Add the CNAME record. It must point to a fully qualified domain name.

    1. Select “CNAME” in the drop-down.

    2. First Text Box: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the alias name.

    3. Second Text Box: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the name.

    4. Time to Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record on the right.

Adding the Listrak Bounce Domain Branding Record

  1. Log in to your CloudFlare account.

  2. Select the domain you would like to update from the dropdown menu at the top left.

  3. Select the DNS Settings tab.

  4. Add the MX record. It must point to a fully qualified domain name.

    1. Select “MX” in the drop-down.

    2. First Text Box: Enter the subdomain name for the MX record. For Listrak, we recommend “bounce.” Make sure this record is being added as a subdomain. If it is not, you may experience issues with receiving emails on your internal network.

    3. Second Text Box: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be “bounce.esp1.co

    4. Priority: Select the priority you want to assign to the mail server. For Listrak, we recommend a priority of 10.

    5. Time to Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record on the right.

Adding the Listrak SPF Branding Record

  1. Log in to your CloudFlare account.

  2. Select the domain you would like to update from the drop-down menu at the top left.

  3. Select the DNS Settings tab.

  4. Add the TXT record

    1. Select “TXT” in the drop-down.

    2. First Text Box: Enter the subdomain name for the MX record. For Listrak, we recommend “bounce.”

    3. Second Text Box: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be v=spf1 include:esp1.co -all

      ⚠️ The double quotes around TXT values in CloudFlare are not needed. This will cause two sets of double quotes around the TXT value.

    4. Time to Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record on the right.

Adding the Listrak DKIM Branding Record

  1. Log in to your CloudFlare account.

  2. Select the domain you would like to update from the dropdown menu at the top left.

  3. Select the DNS Settings tab.

  4. Add the TXT record.

    1. Select “TXT” in the drop-down.

    2. First Text Box: Enter the subdomain for the TXT record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT Name and will most likely be “key1._domainkey

    3. Second Text Box: Enter the value you want to be assigned to the record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT value.

      ⚠️ The double quotes around TXT values in CloudFlare are not needed. This will cause two sets of double quotes around the TXT value.

    4. Time to Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record on the right.

Creating a Yahoo Feedback Loop

Yahoo requires a postmaster@yourdomainhere.com inbox setup to receive feedback and the verification code during the initial setup

  1. After the postmaster inbox is created and accessible, please contact Listrak Support or your account manager.

  2. Listrak Support will fill out the Yahoo Feedback Loop creation form and you will receive a verification code from Yahoo.

  3. Once you receive the verification code it must be sent to Listrak Support in order to complete the Yahoo Feedback Loop request.
