Learn how to set up branding for your Rackspace DNS account.

Adding the Listrak Domain Alias Branding Record

  1. Log in to your account at https://mycloud.rackspace.com/.

  2. Select DNS from the top navigation pane.

  3. Select your domain in the list and then click Add Record under Records.

  4. A pop-up will appear for you to fill out the following information:

    1. Record Type: Select CNAME Record from the drop-down menu.

    2. Host Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend "link"

    3. Target (Domain): Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be "customers.esp1.co"

    4. Time to Live (TTL): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record.

Adding the Listrak Google Postmaster Tools Record

  1. Log in to your account at https://mycloud.rackspace.com/.

  2. Select DNS from the top navigation pane.

  3. Select your domain in the list and then click Add Record under Records.

  4. A pop-up will appear for you to fill out the following information:

    1. Record Type: Select CNAME Record from the drop-down menu.

    2. Host Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the host name.

    3. Target (Domain): Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the target name.

    4. Time to Live (TTL): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record.

Adding the Listrak Bounce Domain Alias Record

  1. Log in to your account at https://mycloud.rackspace.com/.

  2. Select DNS from the top navigation pane.

  3. Select your domain in the list and then click Add Record under Records.

  4. A pop-up will appear for you to fill out the following information:

    1. Record Type: Select MX Record from the drop-down menu.

    2. Host Name: Enter the subdomain name for MX record. For Listrak, we recommend "bounce"

      ⚠️ Make sure this record is being added as a subdomain. If it is not, you may experience issues with receiving emails on your internal network.

    3. Mailserver Domain: Enter the mail server’s address. For Listrak, this has to be "bounce.esp1.co"Priority: Select the priority you want to assign to the mail server. For Listrak, we recommend a priority of 10.

    4. Time to Live (TTL): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Add Record.

Adding the Listrak SPF Branding Record

  1. Log in to your account at https://mycloud.rackspace.com/.

  2. Select DNS from the top navigation pane.

  3. Select your domain in the list and then click Add Record under Records.

  4. A pop-up will appear for you to fill out the following information:

    1. Record Type: Select TXT Record from the drop-down menu.

    2. Host Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend "bounce"

    3. Text: Enter the value that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be "v=spf1 include:esp1.co -all"

      ⚠️ Please note that the double quotes around TXT values in Rackspace are not needed. This will cause two sets of double quotes around the TXT value.

    4. Time to Live (TTL): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click the Add Record button to finish.

Adding the Listrak DKIM Branding Record

  1. Log in to your account at https://mycloud.rackspace.com/.

  2. Select DNS from the top navigation pane.

  3. Select your domain in the list and then click Add Record under Records.

  4. A pop-up will appear for you to fill out the following information:

    1. Record Type: Select TXT Record from the drop-down menu.

    2. Host Name: Enter the subdomain for the TXT record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT Name and will most likely be "key1._domainkey"

    3. Text: Enter the value you want to be assigned to the record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT value.

      ⚠️ Please note that the double quotes around TXT values in Rackspace are not needed. This will cause two sets of double quotes around the TXT value.

    4. Time to Live (TTL): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click the Add Record button to finish.

Creating a Yahoo Feedback Loop With Listrak

  1. Yahoo requires a postmaster@yourdomainhere.com inbox setup to receive feedback and the verification code during the initial setup.

  2. After the postmaster inbox is created and accessible, please contact Listrak Support or your account manager.

  3. Listrak Support will fill out the Yahoo Feedback Loop creation form and you will receive a verification code from Yahoo.

  4. Once you receive the verification code it must be sent to Listrak Support in order to complete the Yahoo Feedback Loop request.
