You may find that you need to subscribe or add individual contacts to your list. Conversely, you may also need to unsubscribe individual contacts. All unsubscribers will be added to every suppression list associated with this list. For example, if the contact has subscribed to My Company's Weekly Sales Email Campaigns as well as My Company's Monthly Newsletter, and if the same suppression list is used for both lists, the contact will be removed from both email lists. A suppression list is not needed when only one master list is used. For more on how to use suppression lists, check out Suppression Lists.

To subscribe or unsubscribe a single contact:

  1. Navigate to Contacts > Email Contacts Subscribe/Unsubscribe Contacts.

  2. Enter the email address of the contact.

  3. You have the option to send a system default welcome or goodbye message. However, it is best practice to create a Welcome Series automated campaign either using Journey Hub or Conductor.

  4. Click the action:

    1. Subscribe - will just subscribe the email address.

💡 To execute an event or add segmentation (profile field) information for the email address, do NOT click this Subscribe button. Complete the form and then click Subscribe at the bottom of the page.

    2. Unsubscribe - a confirmation warning will appear. Click yes to confirm that you want to remove the contact from the list. Clicking no will take you back to the previous page.

Additional Options

Execute External Events

This will enter the new contact directly into an published Conductor Conversation such as a birthday campaign or a welcome series.

  1. Check the events the email will be opted into.

    • Select all: selects every event listed.

    • None: deselects every event listed.

    • Reset: reverts back to the default selection.

Adding Segmentation (Profile Field) Information

You can add customer details on this page as well if you have profile fields set up already on your list. This can be used for filtering in future campaigns. If you do not have the options to add segmentation information, you can learn how to add profile fields in Add Segments to a List.
