Competition (the "Competition") in partnership with McDonald's Restaurants

Limited whose registered office is at 11-59 High Road, East Finchley, London, N2

is the promoter and is providing the Prize (which is defined below).

● These Specific Rules apply to the Competition, in addition to the Official Rules.

● Entry into the Competition is free (except for any applicable data usage charges

which shall be the responsibility of the entrant – please get the bill payer's

permission before entering the Competition).

● The Competition will open at 10am on Monday 10 October 2022 and close at 22:00

on Friday 21 October. Entries received after the closing time and date will not be

entered into the Competition. There are time restrictions which apply (photos

submitted outside of 10am and 10pm for example, will not be permitted into the

Competition – please see below).

How to enter the Competition:

● In order to enter the Competition, you must be: (a) resident in the UK; and (b) aged

18 or over.

Rules). Downloading, using and accessing the app is governed by the Terms of

Service.

● To enter, you will need to download the App, take part in a litter pick in and around

the towns/cities set out below and upload a photo of yourself, in the App, which

shows you participating in the litter pick. When you upload your photo, you will

also be required to complete certain data entry fields.

● The Official Rules set out in detail what constitutes an acceptable photo entry.

Please read these requirements carefully.

● LitterLotto and McDonald's reserve the right to validate any of the requirements

set out in the Terms and may ask for proof of identity and/or address and/or age

and/or compliance with these Terms.

The points system:

● McDonald's will be touring ten University towns/cities on the following dates:

Edinburgh Napier University (10th Oct), University of Northumbria (11th Oct),

Sheffield University (12th Oct), University of Leeds (13th Oct), York University (14th

Oct), Nottingham Trent University (17th Oct), Birmingham City University (18th

Oct), Cardiff Met University (19th Oct), Bristol UWE University (20th Oct), and

Portsmouth (21st Oct). The prize draw element of the Competition in the app is

being run by LitterLotto in conjunction with this University tour.

● The purpose of the Competition is to promote litter picking. Each photo which is

correctly uploaded in accordance with rules (a) – (c) below and the Terms shall gain

the relevant town/city to which the photo relates, 1 (one) point.

(a) Each photo must be uploaded between the hours of 10am – 10pm during

the day on which the McDonald's van is in your town/city (the "Opening

and Closing Times"). Photos uploaded outside of the Opening and Closing

Times will not gain any points in the Competition. For example, the

McDonald's van will be at the Edinburgh Napier University on Monday 10th

October. If you are within the Edinburgh boundary as specified in point C

below and upload a photo between the hours of 10am – 10pm on Monday 10th

October, your photo will gain Edinburgh one point. Photos which are uploaded

outside of those hours or not on 10th October, will not gain a point for

Edinburgh. This rule ensures that each town/city has one day only (between the

hours of 10am – 10pm on the day the McDonald's van is in that city) to gain

points.

(b) Multiple pictures submitted by the same user will not count towards the point

system. Each user can only earn their city one point.

(c) The photo must be uploaded to the App within a 4-mile circumference of the

location of the McDonalds van. Any photos uploaded outside of this radius,

shall not gain a point. The App takes note of the date, time and location of the

entry.

The prize and the winner:

● The town/city which gains the most points (the "Winning City"), according to the

points table managed by LitterLotto shall be announced during the week

commencing 24 October 2022.

● Following the Winning City announcement, one person will be selected at random

from the entries attributable to the Winning City (the "Winner").

● LitterLotto shall pass the Winner's details, and their photo entry, to McDonald's and

McDonald's may be required to pass such details on to its agencies so that

McDonald's can:

(a) verify the identity, address and/or age of the Winner and to ensure that they

comply with the Terms;

(b) notify the Winner as soon as reasonably possible following the random draw.

Only the Winner will receive notification from McDonald's. The Winner will be

notified using the contact details they provided to LitterLotto on entering the

Competition;

(c) verify that the photo submitted is not offensive, inflammatory and/or

inappropriate to LitterLotto, McDonald's or generally and ensure it is in

compliance with these Terms; and

(d) for the purpose of making arrangements for the prize.

● The prize consists of a DJ set and meet and greet with a celebrity guest, on board a

McDonald’s food van on a date to be agreed between the Winner and McDonald's

(if the Winner and McDonald's are unable to agree on the date, McDonald's shall

decide). The location of the DJ set, meet and greet and the van shall be

determined by McDonald's. McDonald's shall supply reasonable amounts of

McDonald's food for up to 100 people (the "Event") (the "Prize"). McDonald's

cannot confirm which celebrity guest will be in attendance and McDonald's will

not enter into any correspondence with any entrants or the Winner in this respect.

● McDonald's will inform the Winner of the number of guests which the Winner will

be allowed to invite to the Event. The Winner, and their guests will also be required

to comply with any site safety and security requirements of the venue hosting the

Event. If the Winner does not comply, McDonald's shall be entitled to end the

event immediately without any liability to the Winner or their guests.

● McDonald's would like to take photos and video imagery of the Winner and (if

applicable) their guests at the Event and McDonald's will ask for your permission to

do this.

● There is no cash alternative, and the Prize is not transferable. McDonald's may

substitute an element of the Prize with an appropriate replacement and of equal

or greater value in the place of any part of the Prize.

● The Winner will be required to give their consent to their surname and country to

be disclosed to any person requesting that McDonald's or LitterLotto confirms the

identity of the Winner. A winner may raise any concerns regarding this paragraph

with McDonald's. If you object, please contact McDonald’s. You acknowledge

however, that we and LitterLotto must still provide the information and winning

entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

● If McDonald's cannot successfully contact the Winner within a reasonable length

of time, or if a Winner is unable or unwilling to accept the Prize, or if a Winner does

not meet the eligibility requirements, or if a Winner's photo entry is considered by

McDonald's or LitterLotto to be offensive, inflammatory and/or inappropriate,

subsequent draws will take place until a new winner is found who is able, willing

and eligible to accept the Prize. This new winner shall be deemed to be the Winner

for the purposes of these Terms.
