By the time you are ready to start solids with your little one, they are probably having 6-8 bottles or 8 nursing sessions during the day and maybe a couple more at night, depending on their exact age in months.

Incorporating solids into your already established routine will help you and your baby get accustomed to this new phase in your lives together so offering purees as a "top-off" to milk helps make this an easy transition. We recommend waiting 30 min to an hour after milk for your baby to have purees.

It's totally normal for your little one to show a bit less interest in milk at this stage. They're growing and become more aware, alert, and distracted by all of the fun things going on around them. It can help to have a quiet spot to nurse or offer a bottle.
