Just like with bottles and nursing, you should look for signs that your baby might be ready for their next meal. Some of these include:

  • Opening their mouth when offered a spoon or food.

  • Getting excited when they see food.

  • Using hand motions or making sounds to let you know they're still hungry.

Your baby will also show you signs that they've had enough to eat. These can include:

  • Pushing their food away.

  • Closes their mouth when food is offered.

  • Turning their head away from food.

Give your mini the lead to show you how much much they want. It's totally ok if they don't finish everything in one sitting. You can always save the food for later. If you think your mini's lack of appetite is concerning, trust your gut and talk to your pediatrician.
