During holidays and major sale events, your goal is to keep LiveRecover running without offering extra discounts that overlap with your sitewide promotions. The key is to adjust your flow setup and timing so messages stay relevant and aligned with your active sale.

1. Schedule Flows to Match Your Sale Timeline

LiveRecover lets you schedule your flows to automatically start and stop based on your promotional calendar. This ensures your messaging stays in sync with your live offers.

How to Set It Up

  1. Log in to your LiveRecover dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Flows.

  3. Select the flow you want to schedule.

  4. Click on ⚙ to enable the Scheduling section.

  5. Set your Start Time and End Time to match your promo period.

  6. Click Save.

Your flows will automatically adjust, keeping LiveRecover active but perfectly timed with your sale.

This helps you:

  • Avoid sending additional discounts while a sitewide sale is running

  • Keep messages consistent with your current promotion

  • Deliver a smooth shopper experience without gaps or overlap

💡 Pro Tip: Always review your default recovery flow before a big sale to make sure it doesn’t mention any old codes or offers.

2. Use a Holiday Version of Your Flow

Keep LiveRecover active by creating a holiday version of your existing flow. This version should be tuned to your sale theme and messaging, but without offering extra discounts.

Example setup:

  • Default Flow: Includes standard discount offer

  • Holiday Flow: Matches your live promo messaging, no additional discount

To create it:

  1. Duplicate your main flow.

  2. Toggle off the discount.

  3. Update your copy to reflect that there’s already a sitewide sale happening.

  4. Schedule it to run for your promo dates.

3. Refresh Your Copy for the Occasion

Even without a discount, you can drive conversions by making your message conversational, timely, and helpful.

Holiday Flow Initial Message Example

Hey {contact_name}, this is {agent_name} from {store_name}... and yes, I'm a real person, not a robot :)

I saw you were checking out our {product}. Were you shopping for yourself or a gift? There’s something going on site-wide that might help.

Agent Reply Example

Once the shopper responds, our agent can follow up with something that feels personal while reinforcing that the sale is already active.

Perfect! We’re offering {percentage_off}% off sitewide, and the discount applies automatically at checkout.

Here’s a link back to your cart: {URL to Checkout}

💡 Pro Tip: Always include the checkout URL in the agent’s reply for better tracking and to make it easier for the customer to return to their cart. Keep replies short, friendly, and clear.

4. Lead With a Question

Always start your first message with a question. It encourages replies and keeps the conversation natural.

Do this:

“Hey {contact_name}, did you have any questions about your {product}? There’s something happening today that might be worth checking out.”

🚫 Avoid this:

“We’re running 25% off today. Here’s the code.”

Leading with curiosity gets better engagement and makes the exchange feel personal and human.

5. After the Sale

Once your sitewide promo ends, switch your flow back to the default version with your regular discount strategy. This keeps your ongoing recovery messaging consistent with your non-sale periods.
