Default Flow: Ready to Go

If you’re new to LiveRecover, there’s a default flow in place that’s already fully functional. As long as each node in that default flow displays a green checkmark, you’re good to go—no extra steps needed unless you want to customize your triggers, messaging, or discounts.

Setting Up Your Flows in LiveRecover

Use this guide to learn how to create or edit additional flows. You can schedule flows, segment your audience, and configure messages or discounts—all from one intuitive interface.

1. Go to Flows

From your LiveRecover dashboard’s left-hand sidebar, select Flows.

  • To start from scratch, click New Flow or,

  • To modify an existing flow, choose it from one of the tiles and select Edit.

2. Build Your Flow

Each step in your flow appears as a node (e.g., Trigger, Initial Message, Discount, etc.). Clicking on any node (except Time Delay) opens its settings on the right panel. (Note: Customizing the Time Delay node will be available in a future update.)

2.1 Schedule Your Flow (Optional)

  • You’ll see the Scheduled Campaign panel on the right.

  • Decide whether you want your flow to Start Immediately, pick a specific time/date, or set an end date for your promotion.

    • Start Immediately: The flow goes live at once.

    • Future Date: The flow won’t activate until the date and time you select.

    • End Date: Once this date passes, the flow automatically stops running—even if new triggers match after that point.

  • Optional: Add Custom Knowledge Base entries specific to this flow. For example, if your flow targets a particular product or a special promotion (like BFCM), you can include FAQs or details relevant only to that context—ensuring agents have quick access to the exact information they need during those conversations.

2.2 Set Up the Trigger

  • On the canvas, click the Trigger node to open its configuration.

  • Select the event that will start the flow. At this time, the only available trigger is Abandoned Cart.

2.3 Add Segmentation Filters

  • In the Segmentation section, define filters or conditions for your flow (e.g., Customer Type, Total Spent, Subscribed to Email, etc.).

  • Click the expand icon if you have multiple filters and need a larger view to set them more easily.

  • You can segment by:

    • Customer Type

    • Total Spent

    • Product Collections in Cart

    • Subscribed to Email / SMS Marketing

    • Cart Value

    • and more.

  • Use logical operators (e.g., is equal to, is not, contains) to refine your targeting.

2.4 Configure the Initial Message

  • Click on the Initial Message node to open the configuration panel.

    • Message Content: Compose your text here by updating the initial message to match your brand's tone. Always ensure you follow compliance guidelines—LiveRecover’s built-in Compliance Check will alert you if any part of your message needs adjusting.

2.5 Set up Your Discount / Offer Details:

  • To configure your discount, start by selecting the Discount Type [1] (e.g., percentage, fixed amount) from the dropdown menu. Use the slider to adjust the discount amount. Next [2], choose whether the discount applies to a specific category, such as free shipping, amount off products, or amount off orders. Finally, decide if this discount can be combined with other offers [3], such as shipping discounts, order discounts, or product discounts, by toggling the provided options.

Specify the validity period of the discount in days, choose whether it applies to one-time purchases or subscriptions, and set any minimum purchase requirements. Finally, select the Code Type (dynamic or custom).

💡 If you don't want to offer a discount, simply click the toggle in front of "Discount Type".

2.6 Set the Agent’s Response

  • Tailor the agent's reply to align with your initial message. Be sure to include the {URL to checkout} variable to guide customers directly to the checkout page. This ensures consistency and a smooth customer experience.

2.7 Save and Activate

  • When you’ve finished configuring your flow, click Save.

  • To make it live, toggle the Active switch at the top.

  • Your flow will run according to the schedule and segmentation rules you set.

That’s it! You’ve successfully built or updated your flow for LiveRecover. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to us at support@liverecover.com
