If you’re having trouble getting in touch with your host, check out these suggestions. Bear in mind that you can only contact your host via email or phone if they’ve accepted your reservation.

  • 💬 Message your host through LiveLocal. Find your booking in your Inbox and send them a note to let them know you need help.

  • 🕙 Give your host a little time to respond. Sometimes private hosts have full time jobs, families and other committments they need to juggle.

  • ☎️ Phone your host. It's a good idea to ask your host for a contact phone number in case of emergencies. If you have done this, give them a call.

  • 💬 Contact LiveLocal for help. If you Contact Us, we can pass along the contact information we have on file for your host.

  • 🚨 Call 111 in emergencies. In New Zealand, the number to call if you need Fire, Police or an ambulance in an emergency is 111. If it's not an emergency, you can call the Police on 105. If you are not sure if it is an emergency but you are still worried, call 111 and ask the operator. They will help you decide what to do.
