General Settings
Settings
If the event does not yet have virtual event settings, click Create Core. The settings section will display the basic settings for the virtual event. To modify these settings, use the Edit button and then save your changes by clicking the Save button. You can delete the settings using the trash can icon.
Landing Page – The virtual event's landing page or room where participants will be directed first. Usually "lobby".
Navigation Logo – The logo displayed on the virtual event's navigation bar.
Moderators – Moderators for the event's chat and video discussions. Moderation rights are linked to the email addresses entered here, which should have associated Liveto accounts.
Guest extra info form – a form used to define the additional information fields for guest login (i.e., login with a username).
Rooms
In the Rooms section, you can view all the rooms in the virtual event. Rooms represent the content of the virtual event, functioning as various "pages" and are made up of main rooms and sub-rooms. When you create the virtual event settings, the system automatically creates a Lobby.
Open Mass Editor - Use this option to edit multiple rooms simultaneously.
Add New Room - Click here to add new rooms.
Settings - Access room settings
Go to Room - access to preview the room.
Editor - Access the editor to modify the room’s elements and appearance.
Arrange the rooms in the desired order by dragging and dropping. This order will be reflected on the virtual platform. Save your changes by clicking the Save Rooms button.
Room Settings
In this view, you can see and edit the settings for each room. Click Edit to modify these settings.
Name - Assign a name to the room. If your event is multilingual, name the rooms in each language separately.
Room Identifier - Create a URL-friendly identifier for the room using hyphens instead of special characters (e.g., “event-main-room”). This is automatically generated from the room name but can be adjusted as needed.
Theme - Choose a theme for the room’s appearance. The theme affects the look and feel of the platform.
Schedule - Select a schedule to be linked with the room. Note: The schedule must be created beforehand.
Chat Channel - Assign a chat channel to the room that will open for participants upon entering. Note: The chat channel must be created in advance.
Top Level - This setting determines whether the room is shown in the virtual event’s navigator. Uncheck this option if you want the room to be a sub-room.
Parent - If the room is a sub-room, select its parent room from this setting.
Editors - List the external individuals authorized to edit content in the room. Separate email addresses with commas or line breaks.
Icon - Set the room's icon for the virtual platform’s navigator. The icon should be in SVG format.
Save - Save your changes.
Room Layout
View room - View a preview of the room's current appearance.
View Editor: Access the editor to modify the room’s content and layout.
Subrooms
Add New Subroom: Add a subroom to the main room. Subrooms do not appear in the platform navigation, but they can be accessed via direct buttons on the platform.
Editor
The content of the virtual platform is edited within the editor. You can access the editor from Liveto’s management under Events ➣ Menu ➣ Online Content ➣ Virtual ➣ Rooms ➣ Editor. The editor modifies the "main area" of the virtual platform, which is where the content is displayed. Here, you can define what content is in the rooms and how they visually appear.
Important Note: Only one user can edit the same room at a time. It is recommended to use pre-made templates for events, which serve as the foundation for room structures.
Control Panel
From the top bar of the control panel, you can manage general settings for the editor:
Fluid – Choose whether components should overlap or avoid each other.
Language Selection – Select the language you are editing (if your event supports multiple languages).
Lightbulb – Choose whether to use a dark or light theme for the editor. Note: This does not affect your actual content changes.
Save – Save the changes you’ve made.
Preview – Preview your room without closing the editor.
Event – Open the actual virtual event in a new tab.
In the left sidebar menu, you will find the following sections for editing:
Rooms
Select the room you want to edit from the room menu. When navigating between rooms, make sure to save your changes.
Components
A room consists of components and elements. A component is a higher-level structure that can contain multiple elements. To create a new component, click the "Add component" button. The available options for components are:
Blank - A blank component that you can use as a base for basic elements.*
Meet - A component for group discussion tools.
Stream - A component for stream broadcasts.
Poll - A component for polling tools.
Gallery - A component for image carousels.
Card - A component for directing users to another room or content.
After selecting a component, a view will open for choosing the specific element. Once created, the component will appear in the list on the left sidebar.
*In a blank component, you can add text, image, or video elements, button or divider elements, embedded files, or polling tools.
History
On the History tab, you can view the most recent changes made to the room. You can undo any change by clicking on it from the list.
Templates
Templates provide pre-designed layouts for building your room. Templates are categorized by room types, and you can preview them for your room by clicking on them. To apply a selected template, click "Apply". If you wish to remove the previewed template, press "Revert". To save your current room as a template, use the "Save room as a template" button. This action will save your current room setup as a template that you can use in other rooms.
Top Menu – Editing Options
When you add a blank component or element, the top menu of the editor will display the following editing options:
Border - Customize the shape and color of the borders.
Padding - Adjust the spacing around the component’s outer edges.
Alignment - Modify the arrangement of internal elements, e.g., vertical and horizontal alignment.
Background - Change the background color or image.
Box Shadow - Adjust the shadow effects around the component.
Overlay - Modify the shading and appearance of the component.
Link - Set an internal or external link for the component.
Right Menu – Viewing Options
From the floating menu on the right side of the editor, you can select which view of your room to edit:
Computer View: Customize how your room looks on desktop screens.
Tablet View: Adjust the layout for tablet devices.
Mobile View: Tailor the appearance for mobile screens.
Make sure to check each view to ensure your virtual event is as responsive as possible.
Toggle Background - Show or hide the room’s background image during editing.
Toggle Grid - Show or hide the grid lines for easier alignment and spacing during editing.
Content
Group Discussion Rooms
You can create any number of group discussion rooms, which are two-way communication spaces where participants can talk to each other via camera and microphone. Liveto's group discussion rooms are powered by the Jitsi Meet tool.
To create a new group discussion room Click "Create New Session". From mass editor you can modify multiple sessions simultaneously.
Name: - The name of the group discussion room that will be visible to participants.
Password (optional) - A password required to join the group discussion. This is not mandatory.
Maximum Participants - The number of users allowed in the session simultaneously.
30 people is the maximum with cameras and microphones enabled for all.
110 people is the maximum with cameras and microphones enabled for up to 5 people.
Save - Save your changes for the group discussion room.
Click the "Edit" button to modify the room settings. Click the trash can icon to remove the group discussion room.
Streams
External Streams
An external stream, also known as live streaming, is a one-way live broadcast. External streams refer to live broadcasts coming from external sources such as Vimeo and YouTube. Some streams (e.g., Kepit) can be embedded into the platform via the editor's embed code.
To create a new external stream to Click "Create Stream".
Stream Name - The name of the stream.
Stream Schedule - Select the start and end times for the broadcast. This time will not be visible to the audience, so it’s advisable to extend the end time slightly to avoid interruptions.
Stream Source - The source of the stream.
Stream url - Enter the embed link for the stream, e.g., https://player.vimeo.com/video/videonID
Save - to save your stream settings.
Options on the lower bar:
Preview Stream: View the stream at its source.
Edit: Modify the stream settings.
Delete: Remove the stream.
Liveto Streams
Liveto streams refer to live broadcasts coming from internal sources. Liveto itself acts as the player for these streams, eliminating the need for external services like YouTube or Vimeo. Internal streams can be utilized by streaming professionals using services like VMix.
Click "Add new stream".
Name - Assign a name to the stream.
Allow Downloads - Permit viewers to download the stream recording.
Thumbnail - Select or upload an image for the stream.
Save
View Recordings: Access and download any recorded streams and adjust public download settings.
Get Stream Key - Retrieve the stream key to enter into the streaming service.
Show All Protocols: Display the stream key in different formats.
Edit Stream - Modify the stream settings.
Delete Stream - Remove the stream completely.
Customization
CSS
With the CSS file, you can further personalize the virtual platform. This tool is intended for advanced users and Liveto staff.
