Chat Channels
Chat channels refer to the chat functionality within a virtual event and the Event App, and their possible different channels. Participants can communicate with each other via messages on the virtual event's chat channels.
Create Chat Channel – Create a new chat channel. The system automatically creates one chat channel by default.
Channel Name – The name of the channel that will be visible to participants during the event.
Channel Password – Enter a password if you want to require participants to use a password to join the channel.
Channel Description – A description that will be visible to participants during the event.
Channel is Active – This checkbox indicates whether the channel is active, meaning participants can post messages to it.
Main Channel – Choose if the channel is a main-level channel, meaning it is available by default in every event room. Note: Only one chat can be the main channel.
Private Channel – The channel will not be listed in the channel list and can only be joined by knowing the unique identifier of the channel. This can be used, for example, as an internal chat for organizers.
Restricted Room – The channel will not be shown to regular users and is intended for use by moderators.
Save – Save your settings.
In the Chat Channels section, you can view all chat channels for the event.
Copy Channel Identifier – You can copy the channel identifier from here and share it if the chat channel is private.
Edit – Modify the channel settings.
Delete – Remove the channel.
