How to connect your Stripe account with your Livingtree Give account

The Livingtree Give platform is integrated with Stripe as its payment processing partner. Stripe is a world-class, robust, and secure payment processing system that facilitates online donations, store payments, and more.

Therefore, to be able to collect donations and payments via Livingtree Give, a Stripe account is required.

Kindly refer to the below steps to connect your stripe account with Livingtree give and video for the same.

1. Once logged into your Living Tree account, click on "Set Up Payments Collection" to get set up for Stripe payments. For any questions about setting up your Stripe account, Click here on the contact button to get in touch with stripe.

2. Enter your email address to determine whether you have a Stripe account or not. If you have an existing stipe account, the system will send a six-digit verification SMS to the mobile number linked to your account. If not, then it will take you to the process of creating a new account. Type in the Onetime password to verify your phone number for Stripe.

3. It is determined that you have an account, but if you don't, you can create a new account. You don't need to have a business to create a Stripe account. For instance, we'll proceed with a non-profit organization as an example. Now create your account with your information. Confirm your birth date and put your street address, city, and state in the box provided.

4. As an existing user of Stripe, you can set up your Stripe account by using your saved information by clicking on Continue. If you're a teacher, PTA, or booster, then select educational services. If not, then select the most appropriate option given. You can select your social media profile here if you don't have a website.

5. In selecting an account for payouts, you can select either a bank account or a debit card. It will ask you to link your account with Stripe, where you have to enter the credentials of your bank account or debit card to link your bank account with Livingtree via Stripe. After verification, select your account details and click on the link to get linked to the Livingtree account.

6. In the final step, you have to review your account and then click on submit to finalize the connection and raise the fund. The payment collection page will show you that your account has been linked.

At that point, your Livingtree Give account would be live to collect online donations and payments. Finally, from there, you would be able to access the deposited funds from the bank account that you had linked to Stripe.

Q: In the video, a question regarding having a business and Tax ID number is requested. I don't have either of these. Can I still sign up for a Stripe account to then collect funds via Livingtree Give?

A: Yes, a business is not required to create a Stripe account. In this case, this person would sign up as an "Individual" and provide his/her Social Security Number to Stripe to create the account.
