The article in question is focused on the creation of a trailer within the Loadstop platform. You would have to create your fleet which includes carrier, trailer, drivers and vehicles. It needs to be created first so that you can create and dispatch loads. The other modules would also depend upon the creation of your fleet. There are other articles on fleet for your reference as well.
In order to create a trailer, head to the hamburger icon on the top left corner of the main screen, by clicking on the icon a left hand side menu would appear under which Select “Fleet” and then “Trailer”.
You can create a new trailer by clicking on “create new trailer” on the top right hand side. Once all the information is added under the trailer information and all the mandatory fields are filled. You should be able to create a trailer by clicking on the “save” button on the bottom right hand side.
Once all the trailer details are added and you have saved, a pop up page with the title “edit trailer” would appear where you can further add details such as the documents relating to the trailer as well as “expenses” that would be configurable under menu and setup option.
Under the documents, a list on the right hand side would appear where you can add the documents that are already titled by clicking on the plus sign. However a new document can be created as well. When you add the expiration date, the compliance module helps you monitor your compliance. The expiration date can be added while creating the document.
You can always turn on the “Out of Service” toggle for the trailers that are out of service. Upon turning on the toggle you can also add the reason for it being out of service.
These documents can be further exported by clicking on the excel icon.
Now coming to the main page, you can customize the columns that you see on the main page by clicking on the eye icon. Once you click a list with ticks will appear and you can basically check off anything that you wouldn’t want the information for.
The trailers are organized on the page based on their status or whether they come under managed authority, dispatch service and external carrier. You can also filter your search by carrier or any of the filters that you have on the top of the page. You can narrow down your search by searching through "license plate number" as well.
If at any point you’d like to import the list of trailers on Load stop, you can always download the template from the top right hand side, fill in the list and simply “import trailers” from the green button again on the top right. This should help you import most trailers in one go.
