Introduction

Load templates are used in scenarios where we have to create the same kind of loads repeatedly. Templates are basically sample loads which can then be copied to create a load depending on the requirements. This article has all the information you would need to create a new load template but for more information regarding Loads or Other Modules visit our Help Center.

Navigation

To create a load template, go to Main Menu, then Setup, and then select Load Templates. Alternatively, you can go to Dispatch, select Loads and then on the top right corner, select “Create new Load Template”. On both these pages, you will be able to create a new template as well as view/edit existing templates.

Creating a New Load Template

In order to create a new load template, you will need to go to the template page and then select the Create new Load template which will land you on the page where you will need to enter information for the new template.

Here you have the option to write the name of the template and choose the status of the template. Some other mandatory fields are customer, terminal, and shipper and consignee location. You also have the option to add details for the load like start and end time of pickup and delivery, weight, and commodity etc.

Use Template to Create a Load

In order to create a new load from the template, we can click on the “create from template” button on the top right corner which will open a new window.

Once there, we will be able to see created templates as a list with separate columns. The last column on the extreme right hand side would give you the ability to “Select” that particular template and from there you can create a load using that template.

Editing a Template

You can edit the created templates by clicking on the “Actions” button on the left hand side, which will open a drop down. Here you can select the “Edit” option and will be able to make desired changes in the template itself.
