Article - How to add a Household/Living Expenses.

Enter the number of Adults, Dependants, Living Expenses & Other Commitments

Overview

The Household collects information about:

 - the number of adults
 - the number of dependants (children)
 - age/date of birth of dependants
 - living expenses of the Household
 - other commitments of the Household (rent, board, child maintenance)

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

To add a Household, you will need to be on the Current Situation tab.

There is an assumption that you have already entered a Person Applicant and you are on the Person Applicant page.

Step 2

Click on the Add Data button.

Then click on Household.

Step 3

The Household popup screen will appear.

Select the number of Adults in the Household.

Select the number of Dependents in the Household.

Notice that new fields appear, requiring further information about each Dependent.

Enter the details of the household, including Living Expenses and Other Commitments. Enter a dollar amount as well as the frequency of each expense.

Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the Household Expenses list to see all Categories.

You will notice that the Monthly Total is calculated for you at the Top of the screen.

Click OK when you have completed this screen.

Step 5

You are now taken back to the Person Applicant page and you will see the Household has been successfully entered.

Follow the same above steps whenever you have a married or DeFacto couple, whom you wish to use the same household for. The only additional step you'd have to do is the below:

Step 6:
Go to the second applicant's profile and click on the dropdown menu of the Household field. You'll notice that applicant one's household is available for selection, click it. 

Now you have both applicants sharing the same Household!
