Loanapp Layout
Loanapp has a number of Tabs and Menu items that represent sections of a loan application, and make it easy for you to move about to different sections of the application. (NOTE – you can complete an application in any order you wish).
Depending on if you have launched Loanapp from your CRM and transferred data, or directly, you will have some of these sections automatically completed.
This article assumes you have entered Loanapp directly, and have an 'empty' application that you will build from scratch.
Precursor Tab
The precursor tab is where you land when you first open Loanapp. The Precursor tab is mostly auto-filled with information about you, the creator and submitter of the loan. This data will have come from your credentials within myCRM or Baseplate, or from your direct Loanapp profile. (so if anything is wrong, it will need to be changed in your CRM profile for future apps).
The Precursor Tab is made up of a number of sections:
Overview
The Overview is where application data such as the uniquely created Loanapp Application ID is displayed.
A key field in this overview is the Application Type. Here you choose if the application you are creating is a Full Loan, or a Top-Up:
This field is mandatory and important in that it determines much of the requirements in the actual loan application data.
Sales Channel
The Sales Channel is where we house the information about you - the creator and submitter of the loan. There are two sections in Sales Channel - Loan Writer (information about you) and Loan Writer Company (information about your company):
You will find that this information is auto-populated and locked. If it is incorrect you will need to have your user profile updated in Loanapp, or if you have launched via your CRM, your profile in your CRM updated.
Business Channel
The Business Channel section displays all of the information about the lender you are submitting to (BNZ):
Current Situation Tab
Current Situation Tab is where you complete all the information about your applicants’ current situation. Here you add Applicants, their contact and employment details, and their existing Assets and Liabilities.
The first menu items are the Borrowers and Guarantors elements.
To add borrowers or guarantors to the application, you select the correct Applicant Type in the top menu ribbon (person, company or trust); and then use the dashboard in the centre of the screen to add a borrower or guarantor.
For example, if you would like to add a person applicant, select Person Applicants in the top menu ribbon, and the click "add Person Applicants" on the central dashboard:
When you add an applicant, the tree on the left of the screen expands to have a number of new pages that need to be completed to build the applicants' data, and you are presented with the first of those screens to complete:
Live Business Validation
Loanapp has BNZ validation rules built into it. When you open an application, you will be able to see visually what data needs to be completed in a few ways:
a. Fields that must be completed will have a Red border. Fields with a neutral border you can complete if you like, but BNZ doesn't necessarily require the information to process the loan:
b. Pages or sections that are not complete and have something missing can be identified by the Red bell symbol. When a section is complete, you will have a Green thumbs up symbol.
Unsatisfied validation rules for each page are always listed in the “messages” list in the top right corner of each page:
These rules will disappear as you type in the correct data.
Assets and Liabilities
When you have added the appropriate Applicant types, move to the Assets and Liabilities menu items to add the properties, assets, mortgage and other liabilities of your applicants to the application. Use the menu ribbon across the top to go to the right section; and then use the dashboard in the centre of the screen to add new elements to the application. For example, if you would like to add a motor vehicle as an asset, click on "other assets" in the menu ribbon; and then click on the dashboard "add other assets" to select 'motor vehicle':
Add other assets as you need to by following the same process.
You will note the tree on the left hand side will expand as you add your assets:
Work through the Assets and Liabilities section to build the customer's statement of position.
New Requirements Tab
When you have completed building the applicants' current situation, click on the New Requirements tab to add any new properties that are being purchased; the actual loan products that are being applied for; and any contribution funds or lending guarantees:
New Purchase
The New Purchase tab is where you add any new properties being purchased. Click on "Add New Properties" to be presented with the data page and complete the required data:
New Loans
Next click on New Loans and select the loan product/s you are after. You will be presented with all the current BNZ loans to choose from:
Contribution Funds
Next add to the application any contribution funds the applicants are putting towards the loan, for instance savings, gifts or equity in other properties. Do note that contribution funds must be drawn from a corresponding asset you have added in the Assets and Liabilities section under Current Situation:
Lending Guarantee
If you have a guarantor in your application who is providing an income lending guarantee, complete the details in this section.
Summary Tab
This is a relatively straightforward tab where you add details of where loan documentation is to be sent:
You will know when you have completed all the required data for a loan application when all validation messages have been satisfied - and you have no red bells, only green thumbs up throughout the entire application (orange bells are OK):
