You don't need to add it to your base loan amount

Fees are entered under the Summary tab in Loanapp. This includes LMI.

If you are going to capitalise the LMI fee, you will need to indicate this on the Summary tab.

'Capitalise Fee' = Yes

You do NOT need to add the LMI amount to the base amount you have requested in the New Loans tab.

In this example, the applicants want to borrow $500,000 so that's all we enter in the 'Amount Requested' field in the New Loans screen.

Once you have completed your application, you will be able to generate a report, showing how the LMI and the Amount Requested are added.

First click on the FILE tab,

Then click on Summary (even if it's locked). This will kick start the validation process which needs to occur before the report can be generated.

Once validated, click back on Summary and you will see the report. Notice that the New Loan amount being requested is $502,500.

This is the total of the Amount Requested ($500,000) and the Capitalised LMI ($2,500).

So don't forget...
Just add your LMI in one place in Loanapp - under the fees section of the Summary tab.

Loanapp will work out the rest and you'll be able to see that in the Summary report.
