Overview

Loanapp has an integrated electronic ID Verification service which allows you to verify your applicant's identifying data against a number of Government Databases.

The process is quick (about 1 min) and easy - this article takes you through the functionality.

Process

First you will need to consent to the Electronic ID Verification for your applicants. You will find the consent questions in the "Other Details" section of Loanapp. To use the e-ID process, you need to select YES to both these questions, for all person applicants.

You will also need to ensure you have entered (at least) all the data in Loanapp that is required to run a successful e-ID.

The data required for each applicant is:

On Person Details Page: Full Name, DOB, Residency Status

On Contact Details Page: current residential address

In the Identification section: the details of at least 2 ID documents that will be checked in the e-ID process

When you have completed the consent and the minimum data for each applicant, go to the FILE Tab, and you will see Identity Verification as a new menu item. Click on it to open the ID verification functionality:

You will be presented with the names of each Person Applicant, and a "Send Request" button for each. To run the e-ID process, click Send Request on each of the individual names; or "Send Request for All" if you are happy to do both at once:

A pop-up will appear with the data that will be sent to the ID service, which you can double check.

Note: that if anything that is needed is missing, Loanapp will tell you and you will have to add that data in the Loanapp data fields.

If you are happy with the data in the popup, click Send Request:

The data will be sent to ID Matrix for the e-ID check. It takes about a minute.

If successful, you will see the Success results in the Identity Verification Popup:

And when you close the Popup, your applicants will now be "Verified":

Job done!

What if your applicants don't want to consent?

If this is the case - you enter NO in the two consent questions in the 'Other Details' section, and follow the normal process. This consists of you entering your applicant's ID document details in the Identification section in Loanapp, and this will trigger the requirement to add these documents as supporting docs.
