Overview

In December 2016, LIXI Credit Application for Australia Standard, published CAL 2.6.0. This included a whole new way of capturing Living Expenses within the schema.

This article will show that Living Expenses and Other Commitments are now captured under each Household, instead of the Other Expenses section.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

You must first be on the Current Situation Tab. There is an assumption that you have already entered a Person Applicant. Click on the Person Applicant in the page menu and you will see the 'Household' field.

Step 2

Create a Household. Do this by clicking on the '+' (plus sign) and then clicking Household.

This will create a Household for your applicant and give you the opportunity to disclose how many people live in the household and what their expenses are as an entity.

Step 3

The Household popup screen will appear. Enter the details of the household, including Living Expenses and Other Commitments.

Enter a dollar amount as well as the frequency of each expense.

Living Expenses are at the top and Other Commitments (such as Board, Rent and Child Maintenance) appear as you scroll down.

Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the Household Expenses list to see all Categories.

You will notice that the Monthly Total is calculated for you at the Top of the screen.

Step 4

Complete the fields as required and then click OK.

Step 5

You will be taken back to the Person Applicant page and you will notice the Household field is now populated.

The Expenses that you have entered under the Household section will be applied to the Serviceability calculations on the application.

N.B: If you have two or more applicants who live in the same household, you are not required to create a new Household in every profile. You simply click on the drop-down menu, as shown in the picture above, and select the same household for all.
