Not Employed vs Other Income

Overview

Unemployed Benefits and Government Benefits are different types of benefits and are captured in different areas of Loanapp.

Example 1 - Unemployment Benefits

Step 1

If an applicant is Not Employed and is receiving government unemployment benefits, the correct place to enter this information is via the Current Situation tab, Person Applicant page menu and then Employment.

Step 2

Next select Not Employed.

Step 3

Your selection will display a new set of fields for completion.

From here, from the On Benefits drop down, select Yes.

Also enter the amount and frequency of the income type.

Remember: All red boxes are mandatory fields and must be completed.

Example 2 - Government Benefits

Step 1

Where a person applicant receives government benefits, such as child support, family allowance or widow allowance, the correct place to enter this information is via the Current Situation tab, Other Income page menu.

Step 2

Select Add Other Income.

Then select Government Benefits.

Next, select the type of Government Benefit you are entering. The types of Government Benefits available are:

  • Child Support

  • Family Allowance

  • Widows Allowance

  • Other

Step 3

This example selects Family Allowance.

Notice that the first two fields have been populated with your previous selection.

Also notice that the page menu has expanded to include your entry.

Step 4

Real Time Messages

Notice the Messages dropdown menu located at the top right hand corner of the page.

When you have completed all the required fields, the number of messages is zero and you see the green 'thumbs up".
