Overview

There are two ways to set up Brokers in your Loanapp.

1. Brokers can be entered one at a time.

2. Brokers can be uploaded in bulk using the template provided.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Options 1 and 2 are covered separately here. If you have questions about the best solution for you, please contact support and we will be happy to help.

Option 1 - Add a Broker One by One

Step 1

Log into your lender Loanapp.

Important: A Brokerage must be set up before setting up an attached Broker; read this article to find out how to do this.

Step 2

Select the Broker tab, right-hand side.

Step 3

Select Create New, from the far-left.

A pop up screen, Create Broker, will appear.

Step 4

Fill in the relevant fields.

Select the blue Create button, bottom right.

Step 5

Notice that the new broker, Bill Broker Account, is now listed in the Broker tab.

From here, a Broker can be Deactivated or Deleted.

Option 2 - Bulk Upload Brokers

Step 1

Log into your lender Loanapp.

Select the Broker tab on the right.

Then select Download Template.

Step 2

Notice that an Import Broker Template has downloaded onto your computer.

Step 3

Open and edit the file, paying special attention to the green* mandatory fields.

Note that the Brokerage External Reference is the unique identifier that will link the Broker with the Brokerage. You will need to have already loaded the Brokerage and given it a unique External Reference, to be able to automatically link the broker using this template.

Enter as many Brokers as you wish (one per row). Then Save the file on your computer, ready to upload.

Step 4

Go back into Loanapp and select Import Template (ensuring that you are on the Broker Tab).

An Import Brokers pop up window appears.

Select Choose file, locate the file you would like to upload and select the blue Upload button.

An email invitation will automatically be sent to each Broker. If you don't want to email them, click the Do Not send invitation email. You can always send them an email later.

Step 5

Once uploaded, the Brokers will then appear in Loanapp, under the Brokers Tab.

You can look at the details on a specific broker, by selecting the Broker and then clicking Open Account.

You will be taken to the Profile tab.

You can view/edit the profile details of the broker.

Click are on the Account tab.

You will be able to see whether the Broker has already accepted the invitation to join Loanapp (if you sent them an email upon creation).

Or, you can resend the Email invitation.
