Overview

A Resource is a collection of data, displayed in one field. It can be copied throughout the application without re-entering it.

Resources include Addresses and Related Parties, such as Accountants, Solicitors, Employers, Real estate Agents, Conveyancers, Builders and more.

It is automatically saved the first time you enter it and can be viewed and copied from many dropdown boxes throughout the application.

It's great when a couple have the same Address. You only enter it once. Then copy it to the next Applicant as you go. Same with Accountants and Solicitors.  It's a great time saving feature of Loanapp.

Adding an Resource

In this example, we will enter a current Residential Address for a Person Applicant.

You must be on the Current Situation tab.

Select the Person Applicant menu icon.

Select Richard Reid's Contact Details.

From Residential Address, click on the Add Data icon.

Then select Physical Addresses.

You will then be taken to a Address Search popup.

Start typing in the property address in the Search bar.

Click the radio button of the correct property match, then click Select.

As you can see, the address now appears in the Residential Address field.

You are now able to select this address throughout the application.

For example, you may want to use this address as part of the Existing Properties section.

Deleting a Resource

There are two ways to delete a Resource.

  1. The first way to delete an Resource is at the field level. Deleting in this way only removes the Resource information from a field only, but still allows it to be selected in various sections of the Application.

  2. The second way of deleting a Resource is at the application level. This means that it will be deleted from all parts of the application, even from fields in which it has previously been selected. Needless to say, you need to be very careful about deleting a Resource at the application level.

Deleting at the Field Level

To demonstrate deleting a Resource at the field level, the Current Mailing Address and Post Settlement Mailing Address are populated with the same address.

Delete the Address from the Current Mailing Address field by placing the cursor in the field, and hitting the Delete key.

The field is now cleared.

Notice that the Post Settlement Mailing Address is still populated and unchanged.

By clicking the drop down arrow, you can see that the Mailing Address is still available for selection.

This is useful if you need to use this address in another part of the application.

Deleting at the Application Level

In this example, we are again looking at the Mailing Address in both the Current and Post Settlement areas.

In the Current Mailing Address field, click the Edit icon.

A popup box will be displayed.

Here, you can Delete the PO Box Resource.

Click Delete.

You will be reminded that deletion will remove that address from all other parts of the application.

Tick the checkbox and click Delete.

You will then be taken back to the main page.

You can see that the Current Mailing Address field is now blank, as is the Post Settlement Mailing Address field.

Click the dropdown arrow and the Mailing Address is no longer an available option.

It has been deleted from the entire application.

Needless to say, exercise caution when deleting a Resource at the application level.
