Did you submit/enter a loan with Lender X and would like to somehow duplicate it and submit it through to Lender Y? Here's how!

Loanapp is configured based on lender-set business rules that cover application data, live validation conditions, products, serviceability, print forms and supporting documents. This means Loanapp ensures brokers are always working with the correct, exact, up-to-date requirements and submitting complete, approval-ready loan applications with the least effort.

In order to log into Loanapp, you are always required to type the following URL in https://app.loanapp.com.au/[Lender name] which means that each lender has its own logins and URL. In saying so, you might have entered/submitted an application with one specific lender and for some reason you'd like to submit that same one with another - without having to retype the information all over again.

Given that all lenders have their separate Loanapp platform, you can't simply duplicate an application and send it to a different lender. However, you can export the data and import it into your desired lender by following these easy steps:

Step 1:

Once you've logged into Lender X's Loanapp, simply go to My Apps, click on the relevant field which applies to your application status (i.e. In Progress or Submitted), hover your mouse over the application you'd like to export and only click once (the selected field should then turn into grey).

Step 2:

Once you can see that the field is highlighted into grey, click on Data on the top menu and click Export CAL to allow you to output the data entered.

Step 3:

Clicking on Export CAL will trigger a separate window to open, displaying multiple CAL files for you to export. You'll only need to click on the first one on the list (usually reflecting the highest number) - this is because that specific CAL file will consist of the most up-to-date data entered throughout each part of the application - and Download

Step 4:

Once the file has been downloaded, it will appear at the bottom of that same window. Simply click the little arrow and select Show in Folder, like so:

By clicking this, your Downloads folder will open and you'll be able to see the CAL file located in there.

Step 5:

Log out of your current lender Loanapp and log back into the lender you wish to submit with. Once you've logged in, all you need to do is:
       a) Click on Data
       b) Import CAL

       c) Choose File - this will automatically open your Downloads window
       d) Select the CAL file
       e) Click Open

       f) Your CAL file should be now reflected next to the Choose File button.                  Enter an Application Name
       e) Choose the Lender, Product Group and Documentation Type and click                  Import

Step 6:

Your application will now load into the new lender's guidebook. You will find it under the My Apps tab.

You will notice some red bells in certain sections which will need to be completed/updated. This is because each lender has customised Loanapp to suit their own guidelines and policies, and these differ from one lender to the other.
