GMB Insights Data is typically delayed, so when should you begin your EOM reporting?

Google Business Profile Insights Data (views, impressions, clicks, etc) is available from the Google API, but only with a pronounced delay.

As of June 2022, the delivery of Insights data is typically delayed 3-5 days.

In 2019, Google announced that Insights data would become available within 24 hours resulting in a collective cheer from the entire industry. Several days later, it was announced that the update wasn't quite ready, but would be soon. After months of waiting, Insights data remains delayed.

When it comes to any end-of-the-month, quarterly, or yearly reporting, we recommend waiting until all data becomes available and then building your reports. 

We're hoping that Google will soon make good on its promise and begin providing more "real-time" Insights data. The recent updates of the Google API structures give us hope that they will finally address these delays.

UPDATE
Google's Summer 2022 API update looks promising. They may finally address the data delay issue.
