This error message occurs in the ReviewsInbox™ when a review has either been deleted by the user who posted it or by Google directly. We use it to inform users that a response cannot be transmitted to Google since the underlying review no longer exists.

Unfortunately, there is no insight from Google into what caused the review to be removed or the ability to restore deleted reviews.

How often would you expect this to happen?

Depending on the account, as many as 2% of reviews might be removed. Across the entire LocalClarity network of 90,000+ locations, we tend to see roughly 1% of reviews removed. At times, there may be spikes in removals based on Google's algorithm or process changes.

The Outbox can build up with these notices for very active accounts.

These responses can build up in the Outbox. The best practice is to add a Review tag (e.g., removed) and then delete the response. This will give you the full ability to track them over time and keep all regular workflows clean.

Can the review be submitted again?

Yes. If Google removed the review, the customer can be asked to edit and resent the original review if it still exists in their account (it might) or they can provide a new review.
