When viewing your store, customers see the categories inside your departments in a specific order that you set, as in the example below. We call this Sort order:

In order to change this order, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Catalog on the left sidebar.

2. Expand the Departments and choose the store where you need to change the collection order of categories.

3. Click the Edit icon of the department where the desired category is located.

4. To change the order simply drag and drop the categories. The order is top-down, which means the categories that have higher numbers will be displayed first on your category list.

5. That's it, make sure to Save Department once you're satisfied with the category order.
