You're ready to book your trip. You have the dates, you have the locations and hotel details. You have all the information you need so you log into the Locomote Corporate Travel Platform.

And boom! 💥 This "Profile Error" appears and it all hits the fan.

Luckily you've come to the right place where we can help you understand why this occurring, what it means and how you can fix it.

So hold off from submitting a Support request just yet, pull up a chair as fixing this warning yourself is as easy as reading these words.

Refer to this article on how to Update your Profile

❔ Why is this error on my profile?

You're the lucky one. This error can appear for several reasons. It appears because there is a field that contains a date that has expired (eg. Credit card, Visa etc) or it can appear because a mandatory field has not been filled out eg. a Postcode is missing.

If your profile is new, depending on how it was created you may need to go through all the tabs within your profile and ensure all mandatory fields are filled out, before updating the profile.

If any fields are missing or don't contain the correct values, then this will be an invalid field and will need to be corrected. It is just a matter of reviewing all of your data and making sure there are no mistakes or out of date fields like credit card, Visa, passport etc.

Note

Unfortunately the Profile Error! does not point directly to the the error however our engineering team is currently working on the improvement of these notifications to ensure a better user experience.

What does it mean?!

Option #1: Credit Card Expiration

If you have a credit card on your profile, it will more than likely be because your credit card has expired.

The expiry error won't be thrown until the month on the card has expired, ie. if the date is 06/2018 you won't receive an error until the month ticks over to July (07).

We recommend keeping an eye on your expiry date and if you have received the card, to update your details in the Locomote platform as soon as possible.

Option #2: Everything else

Have you just signed up to the Locomote platform? It's possible that you have some blank, missing or invalid fields.

To learn more about mandatory fields, refer to this article.

It is presenting Profile Error! because the system is trying to export to another feed and the mandatory fields required are invalid so it can't export your profile properly.

  • To fix it, you just need to review your profile and update any details required.

🔧 OK, so how can I fix it?

  4. Click Update Profile

  5. A notification banner will appear, showing the profile as updating. Give it 10 seconds or so before refreshing the page (F5). If it's still updating, wait another 5-10 seconds and try again. Once it disappears the red banner should also disappear
