How to clear your browser's cache and cookies (Traveller)

Like a lot of websites, the Locomote website uses cookies.

At times you may see a Page cannot be found displayed or encounter other strange behaviour.

One sure-fire way is to reset your browsing temporary data that is accumulated, by manually clearing your cookies and cache. Clearing your cache/cookies is done in different ways, depending on what internet browsing program you are using.

Google Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.

  2. On your browser toolbar, click More and then More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.

  3. In the Clear Browsing Data box, click the checkboxes for Cookies, Other Site Data and Cached images and files.

  4. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete.

  5. Choose beginning of time to delete everything.

  6. Click Clear browsing data.

  7. Exit/Quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. In Firefox, from the History menu, select Clear Recent History. (If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.)

  2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.

  3. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items.

  4. Click Clear Now.

  5. Exit/Quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge Browser and click on the Hub icon (three horizontal lines at top bar) and then click History Icon.

  2. Click “Clear all history“.

  3. Select “Cookies and saved website data” and “Cached data and files” and click Clear.

  4. Exit/Quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. Select Tools (via the Gear Icon) > Safety > Delete browsing history.

  2. Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete

  3. You will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.

  4. Exit/Quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Safari

  1. In Safari, select Safari from the top menu bar

  2. Select Preferences from the menu

  3. Select Privacy and then click Manage Website Data

  4. Select Remove All and then in the small popup window, selection Remove Now.

  5. Exit/Quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
