Let customers earn and redeem loyalty points in your physical store by adding the Loloyal tile to your Shopify POS. This enables points earning on in-store purchases and allows customers to use their points for loyalty discounts.
Add Loloyal to POS from Shopify Admin
From Shopify Admin, click Point of Sale > Settings > Smart grid.
Select your location's Smart grid.
Click Customize.
In the sidebar, click Add tile > Embedded apps > Loloyal > Loloyal POS Extention.
Click Apply.
Click Save.
Add Loloyal to POS from an in-store device
Navigate to the Shopify POS home screen.
Press Add tile > App > Loloyal > Loloyal POS Extension.
Press Add.
Press Save.
Setting up Ways to Redeem through in-store purchases
Now that we've set up Loloyal on Shopify POS, we need to set up specific ways for your customers to redeem their points on in-store purchases. There are 2 types of rewards you can offer in-store, fixed amount and percentages off.
Navigate to Program > Points > Redeem points > Add ways to redeem
Under "Shopify POS", select the type of reward you'd like to set up.
Loyalty tile explained
Tap the loyalty program tile to open the loyalty popup, the home of your loyalty program.
A customer and a product must both be added to the cart for loyalty points to be earned or spent. The tile's appearance and subtitle helpfully change to inform the retail staff member what action they or the customer needs to take in any given scenario.

Loyalty popup explained
The loyalty popup is the home of your in-store loyalty program. It can be opened by pressing the loyalty tile.
The loyalty popup will always show the customer's name, their points balance, and any prompts to help guide the retail staff member.
How customers spend points through in-store POS orders
Add customers before they check out, their points balance will be displayed on the Loloyal tile.

Common Questions
1. Can customers redeem online rewards in-store?
Only rewards created specifically for POS are redeemable in-store. To manage these, go to Ways to Redeem and set up POS-compatible rewards.
2. Why aren’t my other rewards showing in the Shopify POS app?
This is expected behavior. Only rewards marked for POS use will appear in the Shopify POS app. Online-only rewards won't be available in-store.
3. How can I tell if a customer used points on a POS order?
You can check in two places:
On the Shopify order, you’ll see a line under Discounts showing the points used.
On the customer's profile in Loloyal, you'll see an activity log entry like:
POS: Redeemed a reward – [reward title]
If refunded: POS: Points refunded – [reward title]
4. Why isn’t the customer’s point balance showing correctly?
This often happens when a customer has multiple email addresses. Try searching their email to ensure the correct profile is linked at checkout.
5. Can redeemed POS coupons be displayed on Loloyal widgets and checkout pages?
Yes, Loloyal widgets and checkout pages can display coupons that were redeemed through Shopify POS (Point of Sale) systems.
