Configure Multi-Language

Updated over a week ago

Loloyal’s front-end pages (such as widget panels and reward pages) support multiple languages and will automatically switch to match the language your customer selects in your store. If a language isn’t matched between the store and Loloyal, the default language will be shown instead.

Currently, Loloyal supports setting all languages in the world by customizing the language manually and the following languages are offered:

Korean (ko)

Italian (it)

Portuguese (pt)

French (fr)

Spanish (es)

Japanese (ja)

Finnish (fi)

Danish (da)

Russian (ru)

Chinese, Simplified (zh)

Chinese, Traditional (zh)

Greece (el)

Polish (pl)

Hindi (hi)

Arabic (ar)

Hungarian (hu)

Dutch (nl)

Swedish (sv)

Hebrew (he)

Common Questions

1. If I create a custom language and name it Latvian, will it match the language selected in the store?

Currently, custom languages cannot be matched to the store's language setting because their country code doesn't align with Shopify’s native language codes. As a result, the system will display the default loyalty program language instead.

As a workaround, you can set the default language in Loloyal to Latvian. This way, even though the custom version of Latvian won’t auto-match the store language, your customers will still see the loyalty pages in Latvian as the system will use the default language for display.
